About WHA

The Public Housing Authority of the Town of Warren, established in 1966, provides quality housing and supportive services for low and moderate-income individuals and families through the Public Housing Program and Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8).

Mission Statement

The Warren Housing Authority is committed to providing quality, affordable housing that is decent and safe, to eligible families in this community. We strive to make the best use of all available resources so that our residents may live in an environment that is clean, well maintained and attractive. Our goal is to manage our public housing units in a manner that is consistent with good, financially sound property management practices. Our goal for our Housing Choice Voucher Program is to promote personal, economic and social upward mobility to provide families the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing. By taking advantage of available community and government resources, we intend to provide our families with as many opportunities for economic self-sufficiency as we can identify. We endeavor to install pride and a desire for an enhanced quality of life for our residents and their families. We are committed to serving our families and this entire community in a manner that demonstrates professional courtesy, respect and caring.
